Catamount Stadium: 1968 Camaro Convertible Pace Car
« on: May 19, 2020, 04:28:58 PM »
I just found this grainy black and white photo showing that a 1968 Camaro convertible was used as the pace car for events that took place at Catamount Stadium in Milton, Vermont.  This track was a 1/3 mile oval that opened in 1965 and closed in 1987.  According to the web site where I found the photo, the type of race cars crashing in the photo were known as "Flying Tigers."   I'm not exactly sure of the year the photo was taken.  It could have been late in 1967 or anytime in 1968.  This is the only photo I could find of the car.

Photo came from here: http://www.catamountstadium.com/Early_Tiger_Competitors.htm
