Drum brake cars used unique brackets that bolted to the side of the frame, and disc brake cars used unique brackets that bolted to the top of the frame; each also used different brake hoses, as the drum brake hose threaded end screwed directly into the wheel cylinder, and the disc brake hose had a banjo fitting and hollow through-bolt where it attached to the caliper. The clamp on the disc brake hose that screwed to the upper control arm was to keep the hose away from the tire.
You can't use the disc hose on drums, or vice versa, and if you use the drum brake hose brackets on the side of the frame with disc brakes and hoses, you can't attach the hose clamp to the control arm, and the hose will interfere with the tire.
