The list of 69 festival cars is in my pacer article - http://www.camaros.org/images/69pacer/69pacer_vins_p2.jpg

I probably have the most complete list of 69 festival cars in the CRG database.  About 15-20 additional cars that aren't on that list.
The pacer guys really focus much more on the 67's.

We have started a full 1969 Camaro Indy Pace Car registry on Facebook.  This is for registration of true Official, Festival and Dealer replica Z11's and Z10's.  Our goal is to track how many of these cars are still alive and where they are located.  Please add your '69 Pacer to this registry: https://www.facebook.com/groups/383183243061984/

To update what I posted above:
The db has 650+ 69 pace cars in it with about 70 of those from Van Nuys.
And about 175 Z10's. So much for the people that said there were about 100-150 Z10's built. :)

I always understood the Z10 total to be 3-450 or even better.

Also, I wish the CRG would do their own registry - I have no desire to join Facebook in any shape, form, or fashion. My Z11 remains in my personal domain. JMO -

I totally agree, Steve...   If they were selling '69 Z28s for $100, I still wouldn't even visit...

Most of the CRG 'core' members have miles on them and have seen registries come and go. There is initial enthusiasm and data. It tapers off quickly and interest dwindles. The '67 Z/28 and L89 registries have been around for decades with little recent activity.

So that's how it goes. Maybe your experience will be different.

Learning more and more about less and less...

I always thought registry’s are a good way to keep tract of real cars and there history.

I would think that the longer that any certain one is around you would have less new interest because there are less new found cars to register.

I for one like to look at registry’s to see how many survived of a certain model.

I think anyone who has tried to compile records of any particular cars or component details understands how hard it is to maintain focus, and keep the data accurate, consistent and relevant. I’ve tried, and failed, so very much appreciate the work the CRG core members do behind the scenes.

It is a long process (data mining & collecting).  What I have learned from the short time of collecting it myself is to keep it consistent and up to date.  CRG is the best form of for this available for 1st gen Camaros hands down.  Hopefully before too long we will see a collective registry in the near future.  Time will tell.
