Cowl Vent
« on: December 08, 2018, 01:51:50 PM »
Is it possible to remove the cowl vent (windshield wiper area) without removing the cowl induction hood? Looks like it's a close fit and I'm not sure if anyone has attempted to remove it in this way.

Thanks.

Comes right off - done it a couple of times on my Z11 (taking pics of the A/C valve and bulkhead underneath the cowl).

On the Z11 - what color paint is under the cowl where wiper linkage is? White or Hugger Orange

This might sound like a smart a$$ remark but  BOTH.

The Orange stripe color is applied over existing body color (White) in the cowl recess area. Both plants did this but with differing coverages.

Someone might paste a link to the many discussions on this topic, there are some great photos examples that have been posted.

My particular Z11 is white with orange overspray - firewall has never been messed with, black paint is faded over the edge of the white cowl, orange overspray in spots. I've got pics on a thread somewhere on here - probably on one of the firewall discussions.
