It's not that the site is wrong (although it's not the best for information), it's that you have to also look at the casting number and dates to determine which engine it is. The more clues the better.
Might go look to put in the parts shed. It would be good for someone fixing a pre 68 car.
The L30 engine is a
GREAT engine. I have one in my 57 Chevy. Actually, mine started out as a 68 LF7 (same bottom end, just different heads), and I changed the heads to the 3782461 (1.94's) and installed the L79 cam (327/350), and that REALLY woke it up!
