That was considered “special paint” and there are no production numbers available for that color, or for any other special color.

Welcome to CRG and tell us more about the car.

well, thanks for that.  does that make it worth more.  I am 69 years old and not well versed on the "machines".  I have a pic, but can't figure how to place. it says the pic is too big.  the car has the multi leaf  stager rear springs, front  power disc & rear drums.  it came with just stock gm rims and moon style hub caps. a real sleeper.  has the late '69 hockey puc stripes, and the chrome hood ornaments.  I have raced the car in the past and best time at Columbus, Ohio was 11.85 in the quarter.  because I loved the car so much, I actually talked a local airport into becoming a 1/8 IHRA sanctioned track in the early to late  70's. that way I did not have to tow over 2 hours to get to as Race track.  to this day, I am asked to sell, but will never do so.  I took the stock rims off in the first year, put chrome side pipes on it in the first year and never changed its look since then.  I also started 2 different car clubs in the past.  opps too much talking.  thanks for listening.

Very cool. I will send you a private message with my email address. You can send the pics, then I will resize and post them.

Color preference depends on the individual, so can't really say it adds any value.

An estimated 1.5% of 69 Camaros received special paint. See this chart. Specific special colors are not listed.

AWESOME!!! my wife and my mother in law (who co-signed loan) like a mustard yellow one, I fell in love with the Orange.  so, I talked them into having me flip a coin, which put me in control, and of course I showed the coin to be a heads and I won the choice.  guess what I gave up.  a CPO427, but at 18 years of age, did not sink in.  but I would never regret what I got.  I guess I am loaded with stories.  I have been honored to be asked what the color is and others have painted different models of cars with it.

That is one lucky son!
How many guys when they are young think: one day my parents will pass down the classic car they have to me, only to have years go by and it gets wrecked or sold out from under them...
Curious how old is your son?

Welcome.  Anxious to see photos.  Curious what dealership did you buy the car from where the yellow COPO was?
