Build Sheet 67 RS/SS
« on: March 21, 2018, 01:53:15 PM »
I am new to the form but not first gen Camaros.  Purchased last year a low mile / Oct 1966 built RS/SS 1967 Camaro.  It has one of the build sheets (body broadcast sheet).  Has anyone figure out how to decode this information?

Thanks

Chassis Broadcast Copy or Body Broadcast Copy?

The most important things are that it’s for the right car and obviously the drivetrain codes.
Bryon / 1968 Camaro SS 396 coupe - now old school 468 big block
1967 Camaro RS/SS 396 coupe L35/M40 - 4 generation family project
Looking for 68 Camaro with body # NOR 181016

Hello CJ
I also just bought a 67 rs/ss L48 car that was built has a 01D build date.  I haven't gotten the car back yet but plan on it in the coming week or so.  My car is also highly original and has been off the road for a long time.  Once I get it back and properly sorted it would be nice to have someone with the same car to aide in the restoration.  My car is a 1 owner with lost of documentation all though I have not looked for a build sheet I do have the protecto plate and manuals.  Is your car an auto or 4spd?  Congrats on the purchase!!!!

Sounds good.  I will try to post a picture of the build sheet to see if I can gain some more interest.

L48 MS motor,4 speed,12 bolt 3:31 open rear, Power drum brake, Power steering, Deluxe interior, Bolero Red, redline tires, console.  Car has a 10A build date.

I have all the documentation for the car.  Even pictures when the original owner purchased the car new.

How do you post a picture on this site?

By the way this is a copy.  The original does not have handwriting on it.

Right. That is all typewritten on originals. What do you want to know? The boxes are all labeled, and the broadcast codes are in the boxes.

Some of that is hard to read...

What does any of the codes mean.  For example what does # or .(Dot) mean.

Or on seat console VA or Steering wheel KA?

Wayne's old car.
Broadcast codes are shorthand for a part number.  # or . means it got that or it didn't, i.e. no variants.
KA is a black deluxe wheel.

Power drum brake, Power steering,   Car has a 10A build date.
Actually, no. Manual steering and manual brakes. 10A?? Can you post a pic of the trim tag?

And there's really no reason to hide the VIN. Not much anyone can do with it. It's in the window of every 68+ car.

Thanks Kurt.  You must be familiar with the car?
