P/S pump
« on: February 02, 2007, 10:55:11 PM »
I found the pulley numbers on this site.

5698119 is the number on the pump itself-no numbers on reservior.

21 198 ND  with a M over a W in a circle

There is also a a symbol like a bar with 1 20  in it.

What would be the date code and what does a 5698119 pump fit?
Thanks

Frank

Frank -

Where on the pump did you find your numbers? I checked mine and I don't see any numbers on the pump or reservoir. Of course, it's pretty grimy down there.

Hi Paul,
They are on the main pump body-you have to remove the resvoir to see them.
I am trying to do a total number doc on this car on everything I can find-since I knew its history from the original owner.

No wonder I didn't see any numbers! Sorry, due to their location, I'm not going to be able to confirm your numbers at this time. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it"   ;D   Good luck with your restoration!

Hi Frank -

I was referring to myself with the "broke" comment.  I think you're are doing it the right way.  That's the way I'm planning on doing it when my children get older.  I just meant I wasn't going to take it apart at this time to check those numbers.  Carry on with your restoration!   :)
