Power window wiring routing
« on: August 16, 2017, 02:22:06 AM »
A friend is trying to install power windows in his 68 convertible and needs a picture of the factory wiring harness routing to the rear quarter window motors. I really don't want to pull my car apart to take pictures so I'm hoping someone with factory power windows already has a picture of what he's looking for!

Can anyone help?

Thanks
Ed

I put power windows in my 68 & 69 years back. It seems to me they had only one place for the harness to go. I know I put them into the car the same way they came from the original car. I'm getting ready to remove them. I'll get a picture if somebody doesn't beat me to it. Then again, maybe convertible is different...Joe

Yes, which is why it's not in the AIM. Unfortunately, it's also not in the Fisher Body manual either!!

Yes Joe. The convertible is different than the coupe. I need pictures from a convertible, although I believe all 3 years are the same.

Try Fisher Body Manual. My 67 manual shows front power wiring on page 16-4 fig.16-6 and left side coupe on page 16-10 fig.16-17 and right side conv. on page 16-11 fig 16-18.

Thanks Bob. I originally looked in the 68 and 69 Fisher Body manuals, but didn't have the 67. I just got a 67 over the weekend and sure enough, it's there!!
