1967 windlace end cap style open or closed?

I was going to order replacement windlace end caps to replace one that had the metal tab break off due to oxidation and noticed there are two designs after checking both my cars. The 04B LOS coupe has an open ended cap and the 05B NOR convertible has a closed end cap. Both style caps press up against the door weatherstrip when closed so I can see how the open ended cap would seal. The open end does not appear to ever have had a separate cap that would attach to it. I'm curious is there was a style change during the '67 model year run or it was a NOR vs. LOS supplier thing. I don't think it matters what the body style was. I see both types listed on eBay for 1967.
What do you '67 owners have?
Thanks,
Mike

My 67 02E NOR L35 coupe has an open LH with no part number. The RH has a G1 503078-1 part number and is closed.

Hi LVN,
Interesting! I didn't see a P/N until I read your reply. The closed end caps I have show P/N: G1 503078-2 RH and G1 503078-1 LH4
I didn't take the ones off the LOS coupe to look. Interesting enough is you have a mixture of the two styles. I was sort of hoping that the open caps were an earlier version with the May time frame being where the closed started to appear but your early car has both. Does your car have the standard or deluxe interior and what plant was it made at? I doubt that matters though as to which cap was used.
Thanks!
Mike

My car has standard black interior, and was built at Norwood. I had forgot about the difference in the two until I read your post. We re-did our interior back in 03, (mice) and I kept as many original pieces as possible.

Hi LVN,
Do you remember if the open cap was part of the restoration? My guess is being your closed cap having a GM number is original to the car.
Thanks,
Mike

Hi Mike
They were both on the car when I bought it back in 95. This is a picture of the end cap with the wording that is on it.
