I'm sure the insurance companies will take notice. :o
Also, I just can not get into the new body style. It's the wide front end size that doesn't appeal to me.
Impressive though what HP they can pull from a motor today.

Im the exact opposite..  I love the new car.  I havent said this since the foxbody trunk mustangs but I love the new stang too..  Both Chevy & Ford knocked it out of the park on both IMO.

This time around if I were to buy a new car it would definitely be a Challenger. That still retains the retro-look and the body style looks proportionate,  especially the nose, compared to what I call the bloated look, of the new Camaro.

The 'new' Challenger is both retro and attractive; I haven't test driven one, but I've been thinking about it.  And I love the new Mustang GT350R... and would love to have one.   I never really liked the new Camaro design (appeared too bulky/fat), yet because of my love of Chevys, I seriously entertained purchasing one, investigating/driving both the SS and the base model.  After driving them, I decided that I could not 'live' with the greatly limited visibility and feeling of 'being in a bathtub'...  I had a 2005 Mustang (first of their retro designs), and I loved it... ran good, drove good, with much better visibility than the Camaro... in fact, it drove 'too good'; after 3 speeding tickets in about 18 months, I decided I couldn't afford to keep it.. :)

I had a chance to ride in a hemi charger 4 door with a friend. The kind with the blue lights on it. My friend from a standstill quickly floored it held it. The auto trans in drive shifted to 2nd around 5 grand each time. I was impressed, but I am still not a mopar guy.

I am not a fan of the bathtub look either. That side window is too small. I heard a gt350r and it has a great sound to it

I sat in a new ss today and by the time I had the seat higher enough where I  was liking it, my head was rubbing the roof. I sat in an 08 z06 and though it was better. They had new corvettes and thought I better stay out of them!

It would be awkward to 'cruise' with your arm out the window in a new camaro...  :)

True. I am 6'2 and can rest mine on the door, but it is a different angle than what I used to with the older stuff. Now if you wanted to cruise with it out the window that would be awkward.. :-\

I still like the looks of the 5th gen (specifically 10'-13). It took me more time to get use to driving my uncles 80 Corvette than the 5th gen Camaro.

I would think back in the day when the C3 came out, it must have had some people saying they couldn't judge how far the front end stuck out, plus the visibility was not great in that car. I did think it was interesting watching my uncles routine of climbing in and out of the car: tilt steering up climb down into the seat, steering column down= tight quarters.

I have seen the same mixed reviews for the 6th gen, as all previous gens= some people like it, some don't. IMO the new Mustang and Camaro look to similar. I would go Challenger if purchasing new. And while we are making a fantasy list here, I would go with the HellCat... >:( 8)
