This is a very informative site. But what info is available from the just the  vin.? Mine does not have the x-@@ code on the trim tag. We rebuilt this 69 back in 1978.  Thanks

Must be something about Ohio guys having Orange SS cars....

Must be an Early car not to have an X code.

Was it an original SS or did you make it into one?

Is Orange the original color?

Dont take this the wrong way but how do you know for sure its an SS/RS?  Do you have the original block or pop or?  Nice looking car regardless.  Would like to see more pics.  Oh and welcome

Wellington. Original hugger orange, hounds tooth , molded door pads, 4 speed ,built in Norwood late 68.

Probably has a X code behind the rear seat on the bulkhead. Like this...




The parking lights probably have the stainless trim around them as well.
