Maybe this will help.   Here is the original carpet in my 12D  69 RS Z/28

You can see in the second picture the front halves of the carpet (console car) in front of the console also have a piece of Velcro to hold the 2 halves together.

Aaaa, file too big, sorry.

Thanks Bryon, appreciate it.   I removed the dead scorpions before the pics  :)

Thanks for adding to the conversation with those carpet pics.  Based on what I see, I'm going to say my front carpet is not original.  Lack of molded heel pad, overlap to rear carpet, and the seat slider frame cutouts lead me to that conclusion.  Bryon, if you think it's best to delete my carpet posts to eliminate any misinformation, go for it.

Cleaned up my seat belts this weekend.  Here's a couple of shots of the sewn labels.  The yellow tag was on the shoulder belt buckle assembly, all other floor-mounted belts had the white labels.  I haven't checked my roof mounted shoulder belts yet.

Haven't posted in a while....here is the cardboard trunk divider panel.  5 69 date on this piece.  Am I correct in that the trunk spatter paint was applied before this panel was in place, therefore the cardboard should not have any trunk spatter?  PO from the late 70's went nuts with trunk spatter and put on my interior floor pans.  Also got some on the trunk side of this cardboard piece.  If anyone has ideas on best way to remove that, please let me know.
