Picture of 69 seat belts, standard vs deluxe?
« on: March 05, 2016, 07:46:56 PM »
Anyone have a good picture showing the differences?  Maybe it's on the site somewhere and I overlooked it?
Thanks

Ba, I still can't navigate around that well.  I figured it was there somewhere.  Thanks for putting the link up Kevin.

Standard black seat belts appear to be dark green.  Is this normal for an aged set of original belts for a 727 interior?

Yes, the webbing can get sun faded (usually looks brown :))  Webbing can be dyed, but messy and results may vary.  I have use the spray vinyl dye too, but leaves the webbing a bit stiff, but you can work out the stiffness some what.

My shoulder belts turned sort of a "copper" color, but one of my lap belts just turned a silver-grey in an area about 6". I've considered using a sharpie in a small area and see what it looks like after some time passes

The sharpie leaves kind of a blue hue. I wouldn't do it again.

Rit dye with salt, yes it works, I have dyed many loose belts this way... BUT if you still have the label on or the clear rubber wear protector on the tongue, both of those will come out the color of the dye too!  I remove everything from the webbing, clean WELL before dying then re-assemble.  Lots of work, but they look nice!
