It is missing the Orig motor and now has a 4speed.

Hi Jim -

This tag is not for an SS car - would require 4P. It is an RS car (3L) with a Powerglide trans (2M).

Van Nuys started using the 4P code on the SS350 cars in September, but Norwood didn't start using the 4P code until October. Early Van Nuys SS350 cars and Norwood SS350 cars built before October will not have the 4P code to verify that they are SS's.
The 4P code can indicate either a SS350 or a L30/M20. Usage of the 4P code with the L30/M20 is believed to have started in the late December 1966 / January 1967 timeframe.

I have notes relative to an 09C Van Nuys coupe with body # 889.  There was nothing else about the car that was remarkable.

It's late enough that it should have a 4P if it was an SS.
200 just means it was the 200th deluxe interior convertible. http://www.camaros.org/bodynumbering.shtml#67LOS

Kurt, And does this mean the 200th Camaro or 200th unit that was being assembled at Van Nuys??? For example, my LOS Camaro is a 10A dated build with the unit number being 3342, surely this was not how many Camaros had been built in Van Nuys by this date is it. Or is it?
