Inner/outter wheelhouse Pic
« on: September 08, 2015, 05:44:45 PM »
Would one of you with original 69 wheelhouses mind taking a pic for me? I'm looking for the area in front of the driver's side rear wheel where the body plug/plugs are. I replaced my wheelhouses and the a/m replacements put two body plugs there and someone questioned it. Mine were rotted, so I didn't have a good pic of it.
Here's a pic of what I'm talking about:

Here is a picture of Van Nuys 04A built car. Picture is on the pass side and easy access as no tire on the car. Other side of car is against a wall so no picture but that side is an exact opposite of passenger side.

I looked at a Norwood build car I have and it has the plugs in it like yours. Couldn't get a picture as the tire is in the way.

Van Nuys car has different plugs, car is unrestored.

Says my file is too large for a picture here. If you post your email I will send it to you.

Inner hole repaired, but it is like Ragu...it's in there! Hope RH side is OK? I know you asked for LH side. Both sides should be the same. Hey found the LH!

Well how 'bout that! Looks like I might have to drill another hole. I did think it was odd that it was only on one side.

Warren, I would really appreciate it if you could either post here, or email me if you can't, a close-up picture of the body plugs in the wheelhouse of your 04A LA car. Mine (also LA and 04A) has the 2 holes per side, but the original plugs are missing. Would like to know which type(s) I need to find.
Thanks!

I don't know why I was thinking I'd need to drill another hole. Mine had the two on each side...
