Most accurate 67 door sill moulding?
« on: February 27, 2015, 07:56:46 PM »
Hello list,

Has anyone purchased door sill plates for a 67 recently or know of a close-to-accuracy as possible set with rivets?

Thank you in advance,
Mike

Thank you, Jek. I'll look at those reproductions then. I'll post an orig to repro comparison and share in CRG.

Hi Darrell,

Those looks like the NOS set I bought in the 80's and are still in the wrappers. The NOS ones do not have the rivets though  :(
I'll include the NOS plates in the side by side comparison when I get the reproductions.

Thanks for the reply!

Darrell, those are later service replacements (from the 80's on) that DO NOT have the rivets.  In the late 70's you could still purchase correct door sills but then they made a change that eliminated the rivets use. Here is a set purchased in 1979 that I'm using in our 68Z restoration. I'm sure repro's are making them with the rivet but not sure how accurate/correct they are. One could use these pictures to compare.
