Thanks for the input guys. Gonna try the JB Weld Steel Stick. Read up on this stuff and it sounds like it is exactly what I need. Thanks again.
Stick may work, I have used both, paste and stick. I would recommend the two tube paste form as it is more liquid and flows easier, not globbing up. You have to knead the stick pretty much and it still stays fairly solid and may crumble or not go into pitted areas as well as the paste IMO. You need to grind or sand and make a clean surface to be effective, I am sure you read. The tube form will flow and with luck, may not need to be even sanded down once cured. I used to think this stuff was a bunch of hocus pocus, like so many products, but became a believer when I repaired a Model A block that had a cracked water jacket! I even filled the pits in a master cyl. on my farm's fork lift (for safety, would not recommend this on anything that moved faster though), but it did stop leaking. I repaired my cracked C-pap too.
