Planned Gen One Restomod
« on: January 10, 2015, 07:05:46 PM »
Getting ready to do a Gen One restomod and while doing my research, I stumbled onto this site - very cool, lots of good info.

Did search on an "LS conversion" and didn't find any results - searched the entire forum.  "LS" and "conversion" produces many unrelated results, so the results are numerous and tedious.

Anyone done a Gen 5 to Gen 1 driveline conversion.  Hope to actually move the entire dash, wiring, suspension, brakes and driveline from a very young, but wrecked 2014 SS Camaro I got on a Copart auction.

Looking for some tips.  The dash is probably the biggest hurdle followed by the suspension.

Also, looking for the 68 or 69 Gen 1.

Appreciate your thoughts,

Nick

i've been looking at SSs on copart.  what's a decent price for one with a non repairable body and a good engine and tranny?  what is the cost to join copart through a dealer?  thanks
