so, its not my camaro, but my 1970 Monte Carlo -
it has its original 350/300 engine but the qjet has been replaced with a correct rebuilt unit, and the distributor, while original, has had different weights and springs installed.

the car runs quite well - but fuel economy seems worse than i'd expect 10-12mpg granny driving all the time - and wot performance isn't great.

i suspect timing issues first - and then god only knows what the internal rods/jets are in the qjet -

any recommendations on how to get this straitened out?  i could put the stock advance arms and springs back in the distributor (if I could find the right ones to order)
and start there - but i'd kinda rather pay someone who has the a/f tools to do the job corruptly and without guess work.

I'm betting you meant 'Correctly'...   rather than 'Corruptly'??  :)
