Electronic Distributor
« on: January 17, 2007, 04:43:24 PM »
I am thinking about upgrading  my SBC  Distributor to Electronic. Any recommendations on what brand to buy? I want it to look as original as possible with a black cap etc.

I'm using a Pertronix module inside my original distributor.  It's been in their for 5 year with no problems.

I am also using the Pertronix (Ignitor II) in my original distributor, along with the Flame-Thrower Black coil. The paint on the coil is a bit shinier than the stock coil. The label can also be peeled off. Looks pretty close. I put it in about a year ago on the recommendation from someone else using the Pertronix in a similar set-up and it has been running great.

If you want to go completely stock looking (in other words, one wire going to the distributor instead of the Pertronix two), check out the BREAKERLESS STELTH system. I've not used it myself, but others have. No complaints so far (other than the price).
