Headlamp Washers on a NON RS car
« on: November 29, 2013, 05:03:02 PM »
Has anyone seen a NON RS car with HLamp washers installed on a standard grill?

I assume this was an option available originally?

I have recently seen a non RS grill with the washer nozzles holes drilled - car did not have the RS washer pump, but it was a restored car so hard to tell what was original.

Thoughts?

Yes, RPO CE1. 116 people opted for it.

More info on available options HERE.

Hmmm, interesting.  Have never heard of that,  I see it was a '69 only option.   Thanks Ed!

I assumed all original standard grilles had the holes for the nozzles, my non RS grille has the holes no nozzles. Not sure. George

Like I said - I saw a restored car and the standard grill had the holes in it, but not the washer nozzles.  I asked the guy said the grill was orig to the car, however he got the car in pieces and
restored the car.....so I can only assume.  I would also assume he should have a WW motor with the appropriate HL washer pump but I did not ask.

Pretty rare option..

NoYenko - the standard grills do NOT have holes already drilled for the washer nozzels, however the grill retainer does.
