I am very surprised to see it sold. The owner mentioned he was going to keep collecting, and that he was having way to much fun. Did he pass away, or just decide to sell??... Danny

Apparently, a handful of websites and blogs picked this story back up in April, 2013, without knowing the collection was broke up and sold without reserve in 2011 by Mecum.

Ok, well... I hope the guy is ok. You are correct, it is kinda boring seeing 100 black cars. But it was unique ya have to admit..... Danny

I think they just showed this on Speed a while back. He had every corvette in black but the 53 because they didn't make it in black.
