Emergency brake
« on: January 05, 2013, 03:38:38 PM »
The emergency brake on the 68.
When pushing down on the emergency brake pedal, the handle does not engage to keep the pedal fram releasing the gear.
It looks like a spring keeps tension on the handle.  A spring fell off, but I have no idea where or how it hooks into.

Thanks

Here are pictures of a 67 setup which should be the same for 68. The spring is hidden so you will have to remove the front support bolt and try to push it to the side to get your finger in there. If you can loosen the 3 supporting nuts in the engine bay then that will prevent the firewall metal in that area from twisting.

Hope this helps,
Mike
