Camaro Rocker Panel Rubber Drain Plugs Part #'s ???
« on: October 15, 2012, 07:47:33 PM »
Does anybody have the part number for these rocker drain plugs pictured. I want to sell them onine but only one has a part number. The other is worn off. Would be nice to have both numbers. I also want to make sure they are for Camaro applications. I checked online but could not find them. I have no AIM books. Any help would be appreciated.... Danny

Aren't they identical, so same p/n?  Won't be in the AIM, installed at the Fisher Body operations.

You mean THESE? They're part number 4615576 (Group 12.934) and were used on the 65-69 Corvair, the 67-69 Camaro, a lot of 50's and 60's Cadillacs, most 50's full size, 50's and 60's Olds, Most Pontiacs, etc... Used all over the place!!

One part number, used on either side.

Looks like they were being used even before the 50's! If those are casting dates, 1952 and 1928!!

As an aside, we were looking for lower rubber window stops for a 55 Olds we are restoring.  None of the usual suppliers had them.  Search the p/n off one and found them at a Chevy supplier and listed for 41-54 Chevrolet.

They were on our 68 and had undercoating on them which protected them I guess. Would assume the #'s are some type of mold identification, etc., or they really had a severe problem with first in first out. :) Where's John, bet he knows!

Must be some kind of code for the mold cavity number.

Wow, I love this site! I bought these for myself on ebay a few years ago. I wondered if they were identical part #'s.  ???  Then I sold the car. I asked a question about the location of them on the car. I think on this site, but I just tryrd to find it and couldn't. I think there was a response saying I could get over $100 for them cause they are original I guess. I think I paid every bit of that or more for them but can't remember. I guess I'll throw them online and test the water. Plus, I gotta find them in my storage first before I go selling them...... Danny
