Chick, I blasted the bracket and it looks dipped in paint because of the heavier paint buildup in the fold. Nice stamping found on the back also. George

Excellent info George! I have found some of those orig. dipped paint (runs) are really adhered so as JohnZ has mentioned, it was a pretty good paint...... ;D
Liked the stamping as well! Our's is a different design bracket and just has a 'D' stamped between the two mount holes on the outward side.
Again, good info to know for resto work......
