Z28 starter bracket

Does anyone have a description or a pic of what a 1969 Z28 starter bracket looks like.

P/N 3816511, and just about all small blocks (except the 350) used the same one in the 60's. You can get them just about anywhere for somewhere between $10.00 and $15.00.

Is that what the factory ones looked like?  That's the one I got for my car, but the AIM shows a thinner one with a twist to it.  I know that doesn't really mean anything, but I'm just checkin'.

You can't always go by the AIM drawings. That brace was used from the late 50's through the early 70's , and even though it was the same part number throughout production, it went through several changes along the way. HERE'S the first version from the late 50's, and HERE'S one from the early 60's. You can see neither look like the one used on the Camaro.

The early simple bent brace was used on all Corvettes from '55-'61 and on '62 Corvettes with manual transmissions (all of them had bellhousing-mounted starters); see photo below. The curved/stamped one we're familiar with on Camaros started on Powerglide cars in 1962, which was the first year of the aluminum Powerglide - those cars (and all 283/327/350's from '63-up) used the block pad-mounted starters we're used to seeing.
