X codes for LA cars?
« on: April 04, 2011, 10:20:39 PM »
I've seen lots of talk about x codes on Norwood cars & know that the x codes were never used on the trim tags of LA but were any of the LA cars marked below the package tray area with crayon like the Norwood? Joe

Nobody's looked at an LA car for this info? If Fisher put the numbers there, wouldn't they be on LA cars also?...Joe

Van Nuys was a GMAD plant (GM Assembly Division), not a Fisher Body/Chevrolet plant like Norwood; GMAD plants used their own internal scheduling system and internal scheduling codes; I wouldn't expect much similarity between the two plants at that level.
