Not to hi-jack the thread but this is the reason I spent $785.00 on new wiring for my car. Every piece in my car is new down to the fuses. I've heard horror stories of fires from these old broken wires too.

The power window wiring harness for the drivers side door is the main harness and it is a royal PITA to replace but it is the right decision if you do not want to revisit this problem in the future.

I appreciate the advise gentlemen & one of these days I hope to do just that. Problem is, I do not enjoy spending hard earned money on a new part here and a new part there {only if its minor}. When I do decide to change over something as difficult as a wiring harness it will be when the entire car gets redone. And...I am quite comfortable with the repair.

Again, I respect your opinions but this is my decision.
