69 RS Headlight vacuum reading

I still am having problems with my headlights and wanted to get some base line numbers from functioning systems. The doors only open about 1-1.5 inches when headlights are on. They will close back when the headlights are turned off, but big deal they are only traveling 1-1.5 inches

I have 6-7 inches of vacuum on the orange stripped hose that connects to the top of the relay to the headlight switch when the car is running headlights off switch pushed in. Is this correct?
I have 15 inches at the the drivers side of the white filter with car running. Is this correct?
I have zero on the orange stripped hose with car running headlights on...I think this is correct.

My hoses are connected correctly, my headlight switch hoses are connected right. I was thinking I may have a leak between the white filter and the vacuum relay?

Any help is appreciated.

You should see the same vacuum in the system as you see at the intake manifold fitting, unless you have vacuum leaks in the hoses or valves; bypass the filter and see what you get - the filter is a normal maintenance/replacement item, just as it was on the complex C3 Corvette vacuum system for the headlights and wiper door, but nobody ever replaces them.

I replaced the filter last night and have the same problem.

I will have step the readings and find my leak.

Did you test the headlight switch? When vacuum is applied, the opposite port should not leak when the swich is supposed to isolate it. Been a while since I tested one and perhaps this is not your problem.

When the lights are off I have no vacuum on the orange striped hose at the top of the vacuum relaty. When the lights are off I have 6 inches of vacuum at this same point and 15 inches on the passenger side of the filter.

I was going to test vacuum before and after the filer, then after the splitter. I am started to guess that I have a leak or a bad switch or a hose that is not on the switch good.

We will see...like an electrical problem.
