Heat Riser Tube
« on: July 06, 2010, 03:07:29 AM »
Hi,

Looking for a Heat Riser Tube for 69 SS 350 L48. Can anyone give me any leads where to purchase one?  Thanks

Is it like the one pictured on this link?
http://www.yearone.com/serverfiles/fbshopmain2.asp?hid=815AA11799

The heat tubes for a 68 L48 are not reproduced but I have seen the one pictured at the link above as an aftermarket part with application specified as a 350 auto for 69. I did not see a price listed but I know Year One used to carry it and the pic is still there.

The 68 I have was very difficult to find as it did not have any part # stamps on it. I am unsure if there were stampings for the 69 application.

Good luck,
John

Hi, Thanks for the lead, They say that they no longer carry it and cannot even find a part# to it. Any other leads out there? Thanks

I came across a number of them a year ago as re-pops. I recommend you call as many general 1st gen parts dealers as possible as it appears the reproduction part is being discontinued. Even the Heat Stoves are being clearanced at some dealers. Some of the dealers may have a couple left but not advertise it online anymore.

Good luck,
John

Here is a pic of one installed if that helps.
