Was there ever a stamped metal tag "from the factory"attached to the rear axle stating it was a limited slip differential ? Or is it another made up "vender" part?

Camaros with posi had a red plastic tag on the axle fill plug. Earlier Chevs may have used a metal tag.

I was told that the Metal tag was used on 10 bolt rear-ends, and that the Red Plastic tag on the plug was used on 12 bolts.
