Trim Rings - 1969

What style of trims rings were used on a 1969 Z/28?
Are there detailed photo's avaiable?
I understand there were two styles of clips used based on the production date of the car. What were they (pictures) and when did the change take place?

I was under the inpression that the trim rings with (4) rivited steel grippers attached to the back were correct sttyle for production but there are rings out there that were used later years on other models and in service that have the sheet metal full circumference retainer on the back side. I can't tell the difference without pulling them off the car.
