Fuel filter clamp, L48
« on: April 13, 2009, 03:56:39 AM »
Does anyone have a photo of the fuel filter clamp attachment? I can't find any information on how the fuel filter clamp attaches to the intake manifold anywhere including the assembly manual. There is no reference to the L48 fuel lines in the AM. Kind of driving me nuts. Any photos of a PROPERLY restored L48, or of course original, (SS350) engine compartment would be great.

Only the big blocks used the bracket/clamp to hold the filter in place. On the small blocks it relied upon the fuel lines to locate it. The fuel line installation is shown in the AIM: section L48 sheet A3......................RatPack...................

Thanks Rat Pack. I saw that page but it wasn't clear to me. Thanks for the help.

Now to find out about the throttle return spring. Seems it connects to some special bracket that attaches to the coil bracket. Not easy getting all this stuff right. Nobody seems to do much with the L48. I guess most Camaros came with big block engines and the rest were all Z28s!! Would love to see an original L48 engine compartment

Try an L14, seems ignored by most literature, and in aftermaket is commonly refered to as a perfect boat anchor.

Do you need that T.R. Spring Bracket? I may have one. Scott

Thanks for the photo Billy. Great. There's that little spring bracket. There is no listing for it anywhere on the Repro front. No surprise.

Scott. If you have one I would be thrilled to get it. Please feel free to contact me via email. I will gladly pay you for it of course.

Thanks for all the help guys.
