Markings on Bolts and how to do a "batch" clean

Is there a listing of bolts and attending  markings that are on original bolts somewhere out there??? I found a couple of buckets of ole bolts from yesteryear and guess what,  I want to figure where these son a mah guns came from re. 67 - 69 Camaros and put'em on a spreadsheet to know exactly what I've collected...  What would be a way of cleaning all these suckers at once... If I brought them to a shop, would the acid bath clean these sufficiently, or, is there another way? On a lot of bolts I see TRW on the heads, why??  Might seem like a moot question, but, I kinda like this stuff....

TRW is a manufacturer of auto parts for the OEM and aftermarket...
There is no liting of head markings for a particular location... there were just certain fasteners spec'd the manufacturers would have their own identifing marks. There were bins of certain size bolts from multiple manufacturers and it was luck of the draw.

Are you talking about the body bolts ? or engine bolts ? I think the body bolts would be more the same on all three years, depending on if there from LOS or NOR. I'm sure there were a couple different suppliers for them, But the engine bolts are way different and way to hard. i've been doing research on original bolts for the 67 L78 and have a good sheet for them, let me know if i can help phil.

Good afternoon Phil!!! Could I avail myself of a copy of your "sheet" on engine bolts for 67 - 69 Camaros???  I would appreciate big time your offer...  Going through catalogues sometimes shows bolt markings and how the bolts are configured as to how large the shoulders are etc etc...

Ted, go to the AMK site http://www.amkproducts.com/ and look at the PDF catalog.  There is a GM part number reference and pics of each bolt.  You can cross reference the GM part numbers in the AIM.  Thats what I did for my front end bolt decode post  http://www.camaros.org/forum/index.php?topic=3072.0

The A.I.M. is hard copy, and all the usual Camaro parts vendors have them.

As far as cleaning goes I think a parts tumbler from Eastwood or Harbor Freight would work. You just need to choose the right media to use with it and keep an eye on them. Don't let them run to long.

Clean them in a vibratory bin or glass bead then re phoshate them with the good stuff from Palmetto Enterprises...

Blasting them in a cabinet is a bit more tedious but can be done in a fraction of the time as an Eastwood tumbler, and leaves a better surface for the Palmetto IMO.
