Painting
« on: April 02, 2008, 06:54:35 PM »
I am in the process of stripping my car in preparation of painting.
What was on the main body as it was painted? I now the front clip was off.
What about the rear deck lid? Doors?
Was the cowl piece installed?
Thanks
Chris

Cowl was hanging in the side window opening, decklid and doors were installed...
The report below tells it all...

How did the area below the sill get painted? Did they have to open the door to paint it?

The doors and trunk lid were open and all of that was shot first... then they pushed them to and shot the rest... there was a thread at one time talking about fingerprints or marks on decklid inner frames from the painters pulling them down.
