1968 396 brake question
« on: February 29, 2008, 04:10:03 AM »
Can someome please tell me if front disc brakes were mandatory or an option on a 1968 396/375 hp SS Camaro? Also, since the trim tag does not validate this car, what other built-in vehicle features would verify that the car is an original big block car?
Thank you!

Disc brakes were an option on all '68 Camaros except the Z/28.  On the '68 Z/28 power assisted front disc brakes were mandatory.     :)

Also, since the trim tag does not validate this car, what other built-in vehicle features would verify that the car is an original big block car?

68's are one of the hardest to verify with out paperwork because the TT don't tell you anything.
