Looks like some light machining over the stamp. The first one was not a Flint block since it didn't have the oil galley plug over the timing cover.

I'd question a September '68-cast block assembled in April, 1969; I don't care for the pad stamp either.

Seems way early for the casting. But from what I see in that pic, the V0410DZ stamp itself looks pretty good (compared to other known stamps).
Way too blurry to tell if there's an oil gallery plug.
