My 69 RS 327/Powerglide had a plastic torque converter cover which fell apart.  I've replaced it with a metal (black color) one.  It fits fine now, but originally it didn't - Pacific rim repro junk that had to be massaged and muscled into the proper shape so that it would fit properly and all of the bolt holes would line up.

Thanks.

I assumed I had the original plastic cover.  It has a GM part # on it and is in great condition.  I just ask because a friend of mine who thinks he knows everything said it should be metal.
