Pressure relief valve
« on: June 22, 2008, 01:26:55 PM »
I was at GM Nationals at Carlisle yesterday and noticed that the round Pressure relief valve under the Master cylinder was different on the 67 camaro's than the 68-69 camaro's. Is there a difference or is this a aftermarket issue.  In all the parts catalogs, they list only one valve and state for the 67-69 camaro's.  What is correct for the 67 camaro, big block, drum/disc car.  Does anyone have the correct one for sale?   thanks Pete

The same part number metering/hold-off valve (3905525) was used on J52 power disc/drum brakes in '67, '68, and '69. I suspect any visual differences are a result of production vs. Service vs. the new reproduction valves.

Had my car in concours and was told my Metering Valve was a 69.  Was told on 67-8's the housing was smaller & the nut is different.  Have to find my original now to compare!!!

Hey thanks for the info.  I went on line and you can see the difference between the 67/68 part no. PR114, and the one listed for the 69, part no. PR 105,  I will be ordering one in the morning.  Thanks again and I will keep you posted.   Pete
