Caveat Emptor..another
« on: July 22, 2015, 01:23:40 AM »
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Chevrolet-Camaro-Z-28-/141724558408?forcerrptr=true&hash=item20ff712448&item=141724558408#

Claims to have a non-OE but "correct" DZ engine. Engine is stamped V0226DZ 19N553055, cast B249.

N553055 was final-assembled on or about December 3, 1968. Somehow the engine time-traveled and was factory-installed in a car built 84 days before the block was cast.

So I,m assuming these dealers deliberately do not show the trim tag?

Some do, some do not.

In the case of this car it is photo #11 of the slide show. So I guess it is real.

Pad is a restamp - and as William points out, with a bad date and VIN!

Tag could be original.
Trans isn't.
