1968 Camaro - Factory Correct Delco Packard Coil Wires
« on: October 22, 2024, 04:12:39 AM »
Hi First Gen Camaro Experts -

My car was judged at the Camaro Nationals in 2023 and was dinged 3 points because my coil wires had the wrong dates.  According to the Legends Judging Manual, the wires should be stamped "Delco Packard" and have the proper date codes.  I've done some researching and I believe the wires should have the date code "2-Q-68" since my car was assembled on May 14, 1968 in Norwood Ohio.  It's a standard base model coupe with a 327/210 hp sb 2bbl 3-speed.  Any suggestions on where I might be able to purchase these Delco Packard wires with the correct date codes?  Several Camaro parts vendors note they are unavailable.  Does Delco Packard still sell correct wires with the date code 2-Q-68?  Many thanks in advance.  gwp4
