69 Pinion yoke
« on: April 15, 2007, 01:08:10 PM »
I'm having some trouble determining what pinion yoke should be on my 69 Z28. Should it be a 1310 or 1330 series yoke and also, straps or U-bolts. There's a lot of yokes on e-bay that supposedly came off a 69 Camaro 12 bolt and they look like 1330 series. I believe 1310 is correct, but not sure. Thanks

I believe its going to be the 1310 flange. Should be part #3996118 with straps. I just went through the same thing with my 69 SS. I got lucky and found a NOS flange for a good price. It did not look exactly like my original (very close) but works perfect. Hope this helps.

The old GM part number for the u-joint is 386451.  Std joint for that application.  1969 was the first year to use the straps instead of u-bolts.

Jason,
Could you please only post in one thread about your car?
Unless, of course, you wish to discuss 69 pinion yokes. :)
