Back in the fall of 1968, I ordered from Karen Chevrolet in Phillipsburg, NJ a 1969 burnish brown Z28 with 712 black comfortweave seats, 8 track tape player on the console, rear defogger, manual steering, M21 transmission, 3:73 rear end and it had the white stripes on a flat hood. The car is a legend in my home town with people that went to school with me at that time. I sold the car in 1972 for a corvette which was a big mistake.  I've tried many times to located the car but it's been too long and all I have are a few pictures and fond memories.  I now own a 1969 tuxedo black Z28, but I still would love it more if it was burnish brown!

There was a BB 69 Z28 running around Dayton-Xenia in the late 70', early 80's that was owned by Lloyd Stauffer (sp).  Beautiful car.  Lloyd lost his life working at local Olds dealership pulling a gas tank on a customers car and the trouble light broke setting the service area on fire.  Really sad.  always wondered whatever became of that car.  Anybody know?

I agree with keeping it the original Burnished Brown color with the original color vinyl top.  The first '69 Z/28 I ever rode in was a Burnished Brown one in Casper,. Wyoming over the Thanksgiving vacation from college back in 1971.  What a thrill that was.
