Some of the cars appear to be (made) cars. Correct me if I am wrong but I don,t think they made 67 SS El Caminos, even though I would like to have one.

Kelley, you are correct. 1968 was the first year and they were dropped during the 1975 production year.

I was looking through the cars yesterday and noticed that several have that rare (caution fan ) decal under the hood. Surprising in a collection of this type.
69 Z28 RS Scuncio Hi Performance
69 SS L78
67 SS Chevelle
64 Corvette
66 GTO Tiger Gold
77 Trans Am Special Edition

There's 13 first gens. Most don't list VIN's or show trim tags. Shiny cars, but do your due diligence. May be hard to get near the cars to inspect.

124379N644383 - COPO that used to have no drivetrain.
124379N672561 - reputed COPO with complete set of repro docs.
68 RS/SS L34 - 749 interior not available in a convertible.
69 RS/SS L78 10-B -  729 interior not available in a convertible. Al head, but not mentioned.
124378L339792 - car was V-V, now A-A.

I'm curious about the 69 black L78 ragtop......  though doubtful....
Could you look at a car for me?
Which one? Not sure I will make it down there before they close!

Surprisingly, the '67 Z I was keeping an eye on, A24, went for only $110K. Lot A22, a '68 RS Z, went for $121K.

I streamed some of the auction live during the gas and automobilia, unreal prices. I'd like to see the auction total take when this one is over - unbelievable sales doallrs.

Man, I wish I had held onto my documented LS5 until now. I could have afforded several more '68 Z's at this inflated rate.

Steve

Crazy day!

I could not believe the prices on some of these cars plus factoring in the buyers premium. Safe to say Mr. Treworgy hit the jackpot. Good for him... only in America!

I always though the Mecum auctions were more down-to-earth on pricing, until this one. You could have changed the name to Barrett Jackson and the prices would have been pretty close. Mr. Treworgy really DID hit the jackpot - I hope Mecum posts the end result.

Bad part about the sales from that auction most first gen sellers will think a car requiring restoration is gold.
67 SS/RS with original Cruise Control
67 Tuxedo Black Convertible.

Sales prices of most cars is a head scratcher. Maybe holdover excitement from Kissimmee or that these cars have been off the market for some time and that makes them somehow more desirable. None the less, great collection and sale results; so good for him.
