9428047 rivet
« on: November 12, 2020, 07:34:53 PM »
Does anybody have the specs on a 9428047? Is it a pop rivet or something else? In the 1969 AIM, it calls for 2 to hold the heater control valve & 2 to hold a bracket to the fender well that holds the main a/c hose. Ref; C60 D6.5 & C60 D5. The currant part is a pop rivet.Thank you, Joe

Search
Semi Tubular Rivets or Hollow-end rivets
Choose; Head style,  Material, Diameter and (LG) For Maximum Material Thickness also order a Set tool (Clinch striker) and practice a few strikes and go for it.

Other area used in F Body; Heater Duct Flappers, Ash tray bracket slider, Door channel seal blow out retainers, 68 Grill side mounts etc,,,,,,,

I do not know of ANY pop rivets used in a First Gen

Nor do I, however I do not believe I have ever seen a blind rivet which was set by access to the back.
