Your car was final-assembled on or about March 20. The Chevrolet Gear & Axle plant was near Detroit, a 4 hour drive to Norwood.
Entirely possible that is the born-with rear axle.

It fits very well compared with other axle dates - I'd say it's original.

The CBL rear on mine was built 8/12/69. Finish date of the car was 8/28/1969. Without a POP I could only say most likely....Joe
