The test is in the August '69 issue of Road Test magazine. Text mentions they are '70 tires; only '69 cars to feature them are the Hurst Olds and Shelby Cobra.

FWIW, the '69 Blue Maxi Camaro built by Car and Driver was retrofitted with F60 x 15 tires.

I remember the '69 Blue Max Camaro article (but I think that was later than 1969)...  I put F60-15 Radial TAs on my '69 Z28 right after I purchased it in the mid-70's, but I used 8" Corvette Rallyes and it was all too wide on the front (no problem on the rear); the front tires scrubbed the fender trim hardware on turns as well as the plastic shields over the headlight cover actuators.  I replaced the bolts holding on the fender lip trim with button head hardware which helped but didn't solve the problem, so I removed the 8" wheels, boxed them up, and re-installed the original YH (7" wheels) with F70-15 tires.   I suspect the F60-15 tires *might* have been OK with the 7" wheels but I never tried that combination.

I'm 68; bought my 1st '69 Z/28 July 1975. Remember seeing them in the showroom.

Even back in the day, hard to find a nice one with original engine. Easier to enjoy the hobby as everything was cheap and plentiful. Paid $2000 for an orange/orange JL8 Z/28 in 1979.

Made many good friends along the way; most still have the Camaros bought in the '70-'80s.
