Brass valve located @ driver side subframe. I noticed that the in and out ports are different sizes. Are there any internal components ? Had to heat fittings to remove lines.

Yes, there is a spring loaded rubber seal inside the body.
You can get a rebuild kit from Muscle Car Research
https://www.musclecarresearch.com/
Unscrew the cap on the bottom and you can get to the internals easy to remove and examine the seal.
If it looks good then just clean out the body and re-assemble.
