Correct Finishes?
« on: April 06, 2020, 12:51:25 AM »
Late Sept. 69 Camaro - looking for definitive answers on correct finishes for some smaller items.  I have the MacNeish book and have scoured the original cars/restoration sections to find answers.  Those threads answered most of my questions, but have a few that I'm unsure on:
Brake line clips - crossmember
Brake line clips - frame/underbody
Brake line frame stands - top of front subframe on each side
Brake hose clip on upper a-arm
Parking brake cable hook
Mounting bolts for the above?

Thanks in advance for your help....I'm sure I'll come across other items I'm unsure about!

Brake line clips - find lloyd's posts on the clips for the best representation of a restored finish I have seen.
Here is an original

Frame stands - dipped in black paint
Brake hose clip upper A arm- silver Zinc

Brake cable hook - phosphate - although I have seen black passivation of zinc as well.
Bolts - Black passivation Zinc
